In recent World Cup performances, the Fiji Pearls have been finishing in the top ten and Coach Kate Carpenter says they will try to continue this when the Netball World Cup starts in Sydney this Friday.
The Fiji Pearls have played in five World Netball Championships and their best placing was in 1999 when they finished in 6th place.
After the 2011 Netball World Cup, Fiji was ranked 10th.
Carpenter says although they maybe Pacific champions the challenge will be to set a game plan that will enable them to smartly contest their opponents in most areas of the court.
The Fiji Pearls will play Wales at 11.05am this Friday.
Fiji will then face Uganda at 1.20pm Saturday before taking on Zambia at 5.20pm Sunday.
