Fiji Paralympic Committee receives $25,000 funding from the British High Commission

The Fiji Paralympic Committee today received a cheque of $25,000 from the British High Commission.

While handing out the cheque, Acting British High Commissioner to Fiji, Dave Jones stated the funds will go towards helping the Fiji Paralympic Society in holding workshops and also identifying new athletes.

Jones adds that sporting bodies which will benefit from this funding are Swimming, Athletics, Archery, Table Tennis and Badminton.

Fiji Paralympic Committee President, Shaenaz Voss says they received this funding in light of many of their endeavors this year and will also help in their scouting process.

Fiji Paralympic athletes are now preparing for the Arafura games in Australia that will be held from 26th April to 4th May this year.
