The Fiji Navy today hosted a morning tea to celebrate the achievements of one of their very own Meli Derenalagi.
Derenalagi was in outstanding form throughout the 7s series as he went on to win the Rookie of the Year Award.
He played 55 matches and scored 17 tries in his debut season for the Fiji 7s team.
The only blemish on his debut season was the four yellow cards he got in the series.
Derenalagi along with Aminiasi Tuimaba and Vilimoni Botitu were some of the new players that coach Gareth Baber introduced in the last series.
