The Fiji Football Association will host the inaugural Fiji Cup at the ANZ Stadium in September this year.
The tournament will see Fiji, Solomon’s and an Asian national side playing in a round robin competition.
Fiji FA’s CEO Mohammed Yusuf says they will either get Indonesia or Philippines to participate in the tournament.
The Fiji Cup will be played from the 3rd to the 11th of September.
Yusuf says they want to host the Fiji Cup every year and bring national teams over to see that the Vodafone Fiji soccer team is able to play as many International matches as possible.
He says they are currently working on a budget of $180,000 to host this tournament and are seeking help from the Fiji Sports Commission and their sponsors.
