The Fiji Football Association Ethics Committee is going through some facebook comments and email exchanges between a top soccer district official and a senior national soccer coaching staff.

This took place after the Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu where the Vodafone Fiji soccer team settled for silver.

Fiji FA’s CEO Mohammed Yusuf has confirmed this saying the matter has been referred to the Ethics Committee to see if anybody has stepped over the mark and whether any disciplinary action has to be taken.

Yusuf says the senior national coaching staff had commented about the performance of some of the top players in Vanuatu and also why some of the players were not considered for the trip because of ill-discipline and weight issues.

He said the national coaching staff had also commented about how district associations can help the players who were not considered for the trip.

Yusuf says a top district official then responded to the facebook comments and also was involved in email exchanges with the coaching staff.
