The Fiji Airways Drua have maintained their unbeaten run at home after beating the Canberra Vikings 40-35 in their Round 6 match of Australia’s National Rugby Championship at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

The Drua scored five tries in the first half to lead 33-14 at the break.

The winning try came from Levani Kurumudu in the 60th minute.

Apisalome Waqatabu and Levani Kurumudu scored a double each in the match.

Waqatabu collected 18 individual points in the match.

Other tries came from Alivereti Veitokani and Aporosa Tabulawaki.

Captain Mosese Voka got a yellow card in the 74th minute.

It was the Drua’s fierce attack and support play that won them the game.

However, the concern which remains for the Drua is their failure to maintain consistency in the second half as the Vikings scored three unanswered tries.

The Drua continue to lead the NRC table with 23 points after Round 6.

Last year, the Vikings thrashed the Drua 66-5.
