The Fiji Men's Blue team has qualified for the semifinal of the 2016 Handy Finance Oceania Volleyball Championship after defeating Tonga by 3 straight sets in the quarterfinal last night.
Fiji Blue will meet New Caledonia at 5pm today in the first semifinal.
New Caledonia defeated Fiji Blue in their pool match by 3 sets to 1.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Men's White team will take on Tuvalu in the quarterfinal at 9am today.
Fiji White head coach Tevita Lewe-tuitovo says they respect Tuvalu and the pressure will be on his players as they are rated the number one Fiji team.
In the Women's division, the Fiji White team will meet Solomon Islands A in the third quarterfinal while Fiji Blue will meet Samoa B at 11am in the last quarterfinal.
The New Caledonia Women’s team and Samoa A have secured a place in the first semifinal today.
The finals will be held tomorrow at the Vodafone Arena and tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for children under 12 years.
Every $2 collected from the tickets sold will go towards the Vodafone Fiji 7s team's preparations for the Rio Olympics.
