With the Fiji Bitter Marist 7's to kick off tomorrow, managers and coaches of the participating teams have been informed that this years tournament’s structure will be the same with any international sevens.
Tournament Organizer, Koli Korovulavula briefed the managers last night on the importance of being proactive.
Korovulavula said they will not tolerate any unnecessary complaints on the referees decision but will ensure that the welfare of each player is taken into account.
Head of the Medics team Dr Berlin Kafoa has also stressed to the managers to look after their players and not to allow them to keep on playing if they are medically advised not to play in a match.
Dr Kafoa highlighted last night that a player was allowed by his manager and coach to play last year although he had an injured arm.
This player was injured badly in the next game which has ruled him out from playing rugby for the rest of his life.
Meanwhile, Korovulavula says that this years final is scheduled to be played at 7pm Saturday while day one will end at 8pm.
The Fiji Bitter Marist 7's kicks off tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium with the first game to be played between defending champion Wardens Gold and Fire at 8am.
The main cup winner will be walking away with $10,000.
