The Fiji Bati is currently ranked 8th in the latest rugby league world rankings that was released this morning.
Their loss to Tonga last weekend saw Tonga move up to 11th place in the standings and the Fiji Bati dropped from the 7th to 8th.
Thailand and Uruguay are the two new nations included in the standings which takes the total up to 42 countries participating in rugby league globally.
Australia leads the standing, New Zealand is in second place while England is in third place and Scotland at fourth.
Australia will co‑host the Rugby League World Cup with New Zealand and Papua New Guinea which will see 19 countries compete for the world title in November.
Meanwhile in the NRL matches this week, the Sharks will take on the Cowboys at 8.50pm Thursday.
