A key match up for this Friday’s National Rugby Championship will be between Fiji Airways Drua number eight Peni Raidre and Canberra Vikings enforcer Rob Valetini.
Raidre who scored a try against Perth Spirit last Saturday has been outstanding with his support play, defence and leading the forwards to some big carries and line breaks.
The Suva number eight along with flankers Mosese Voka and Samu Saqiwa have all showed their dominance in the competition with tough defence and counter attack.
Raidre managed to contain Isi Naisarani last week and is looking forward to a greater challenge from Valetini who has played Super Rugby for the Brumbies and has also represented Australia in the Under 20 Junior World Championship.
Drua captain John Stewart says the forwards have been working hard with their scrummaging and line out.
Two tries against the Spirit on Saturday was from their set piece and Stewart says they will need more of this.
The Drua will take on the Canberra Vikings at 9.30pm Friday.
