Possession is the focus for the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team heading into the Cape Town sevens tomorrow.
Coach Gareth Baber says this was their main weakness in their disappointing quarterfinal loss to USA in Dubai.
Baber says they are working on addressing other issues in defence, attack and discipline.
Baber says that he has also stressed to Amenoni Nasilasila following his red card due to a dangerous tackle and also Beniamino Vota that this is not the type of behavior they want on the rugby field.
Nasilasila and Vota both received three match suspensions last weekend for dangerous tackles, they have served one match and will be unavailable for selection in the first two pool games for Cape Town.
Fiji will take on France in their first pool match at 9.59pm tomorrow.
They will take on Kenya at 1.20am Sunday and then play their last pool match against England at 5.03am Sunday.
The Cup quarterfinals will start at 11.04pm Sunday, semifinals will start at 3.34am Monday and the Cup Final will be played at 6.44am Monday.
