The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team will leave our shores this hour for the Hamilton 7s with high hopes to defend their title.
Following the team selection, Coach Gareth Baber says that after a solid 5 weeks of training, selection was extremely competitive however, the squad is prepared for the challenge ahead.
Baber says that with the notable inclusion of Paula Dranisinukula who has passed all necessary fitness and medical tests, the side is looking to add to their Cape Town success.
Baber says that Dranisinukula has worked hard to put his hand up and get himself to where he needs to be for this tournament.
The team is yet again anticipating a tough tournament in Hamilton.
Fiji will take on Wales in their first match of the Hamilton 7s at 10.52am this Saturday, they will then face Argentina at 2.42pm and will take on Australia at 6.52pm in their last pool game.
The Cup quarters will start at 10.36am Sunday, the semifinals will kick off at 3.16pm and the final will start at 7.10pm Sunday.
