The Vodafone Fiji 7s team arrived home to a joyful reception but captain Osea Kolinisau said there was little time to enjoy their series win as they prepare to chase an Olympic gold.
Supporters lined up at the Suva City's waterfront to congratulate the national side after they defended their World Series title in London.
Fiji are now favourites to claim a gold medal in Rio, where rugby will return to the Olympics after a gap of 92 years.
The pressure for Fiji is immense as they have already taken part at 13 Olympic Games since 1956 but never won a medal of any type, let alone gold.
Kolinisau said they have learned a lot from their title win and are relishing the prospect of playing in Rio.
Meanwhile Jasa Veremalua who won the DHL Impact Player of the Series, says he is happy to be recognized for his performance.
Veremalua said he has been through tough times with his mother and three siblings as his father passed away when he was in form six.
However he has the fighting spirit in him and says he will continue to push ahead to go to Rio.
Meanwhile coach Ben Ryan and Jarryd Hayne did not return with the team for the celebration yesterday.
A 24‑man squad will be named to start camp on the 14th of next month.
