The Fiji Rugby Union has confirmed that the Vodafone Fiji 7s players will soon receive their bonus payments for the Dubai and South Africa 7's.
FRU’s Chief Executive Officer, Radrodro Tabualevu said they are in the process of working out the bonus payments and there are certain provisions that are in their contracts which need to be followed.
Tabualevu confirmed that players will only receive bonus payments for the Dubai 7s where they finished third and there will be no bonus payment for the South Africa 7s as a bonus is only promised for a top four finish in a tournament.
When asked by Fijivillage on the salary of the contracted players and how much bonus payment each player will receive, Tabualevu said that this remains confidential as each player will receive payments and salary according to their contract.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji 7s players are expected to march into camp as early as next year to prepare for the Wellington and Las Vegas 7s.
