Malakai Fekitoa has reportedly signed to play for French rugby club Toulon at the end of the season.
French news has reported that Toulon owner announced the signing at a fan event on Monday night, declaring the "imminent arrival of a world champion All Black centre".
The newspaper said the 25‑year‑old signed with the French club this month.
But Toulon released a statement today hosing down speculation, saying until moves had been officially confirmed by the club they were only rumours.
Fekitoa was originally left out of the All Blacks squad for the British and Irish Lions series, but was an injury replacement during the series.
He will play for the Highlanders this week when they take on the Crusaders at 7.35pm Saturday in the Super Rugby quarter final while the Brumbies will host the Hurricanes at 9.35pm tomorrow.
In other quarter finals, the Lions will take on the Sharks at 12.30am Sunday while the Chiefs will take on the Stormers at 3am Sunday.
