With Vodafone Fiji 7s team coach Ben Ryan being concerned on the loss of talented players Overseas, the Fiji Rugby Union has issued a statement to current national 7s players that they cannot accept overseas offers if they are currently under contract with the FRU.
Ryan has estimated 30 Fijian wings are in France alone which includes World Sevens Player of the Year Samisoni Viriviri who recently signed for Montpellier.
FRU's Chief Executive Officer Radrodro Tabualevu confirms to Legend FM sports that the contract signed by the players are employment contract and there are certain provisions which needs to be followed if the players want to live during the contract.
Fijivillage understands the 7s players signed a 10 month contract with their salaries depending on the individual performance of the players.
Meanwhile the Vodafone Fiji 7s team is expected to march into camp again as early as next year to prepare for the Wellington and the Las Vegas 7s.
