The Fiji Barbarians 7s forward Eroni Vucago has been ruled out with an injury while speedster Banuve Tabakaucoro has been cleared to play as they get ready for the 7s competition in the Pacific Mini Games.
Coach Saiasi Fuli says they will now play with ten players.
Meanwhile, Tabakaucoro who last featured in the Pacific Mini Games in athletics says he is looking forward to showing the Pacific that he is also good on a rugby field.
The players who will feature for the Fiji Barbarians include Leo Naikasau, Batinisavu Uluiyata, Anare Tevita, Elia Canakaivata, Eroni Vucago, Alosio Naduva, Samu Bale, Inia Rokomatu, Banuve Tabakaucoro, Netani Vakayalia and Viliame Bolailai.
The Fiji Barbarians will play Nauru at 8pm Friday before taking on Vanuatu at 10.20pm in their last pool match.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Airways Men’s 7s team continue their preparations for the South Africa 7s.
Fiji will play Wales at 9.37pm Saturday, they will then meet Canada at 12.58am Sunday before taking on Samoa at 4.19am Sunday.
The quarterfinals will start at 11.04pm Sunday, semifinals at 3.34am next Monday while the final will be held at 6.44am next Monday.
Looking at the HSBC World Rugby 7s Series points table, South Africa is leading with 22 points, New Zealand is in second place with 19 points, England is in third place with 17 points while Fiji is in fourth place with 15 points.
