The Dreketi soccer team has made to the Rewa Galaxy Premier League for the first time after holding Nasinu to a nil-all draw in the second leg of the Viti Levu and Vanua Levu playoff at Subrail Park this afternoon.
Dreketi had scored two away goals in the first leg which gave them the advantage.
The Northerners will replace Tailevu Naitasiri and will feature in this year’s Courts IDC.
Dreketi soccer coach Johan Lewai told Fijivillage that they will be roping in players from other districts to prepare a squad that survives in the Premier Division next year.
He said they will be taking a squad that will prepare the team for the National League.
Lewai also says they will use the IDC as preparation for their first League game and their aim next year will be to finish second or third from the bottom just to survive.
He adds the team will take a rest for two weeks and then come back to prepare for the National League next year.
