President Jioji Konrote has told the Vodafone Fiji Under 20 rugby team that will take part in the World Junior Trophy that the nation will be following their performance with a keen interest at the championship.
While receiving the I-Tatau from the team this morning Konrote told the players that they do not need to be pressured as the nation is with them.
He says he is confident that many of the players from this team will represent the senior national teams in the future.
The President says he is also confident that the team will be victorious.
Head Coach Koli Sewabu says they want to win this tournament in order to qualify to the Junior World Championship with Tier 1 teams next year.
The Vodafone Fiji U20 is in Pool B and will be up against hosts Uruguay, Hong Kong and Portugal.
The side will depart for Uruguay next Wednesday.
