“Winning the Coca Cola Games title is a major achievement and defending it is not easy.”
Those are the words of Jasper Williams High School Athletics Coach Antonio Raboiliku as they look forward to defending the girl’s division title this year.
Raboiliku said the team has been preparing for the last eight weeks where a lot of the new athletes will be running for the first time at the ANZ Stadium tracks.
Raboiliku said they will take each event as it comes during the Fiji Finals.
Jasper won five gold medals in the senior grade last year.
Raboiliku said most of their senior girls from last year have left the school.
Meanwhile, the Coca Cola Games Torch will be at the Coca Cola Amatil head office this afternoon after a 27 day trip around the country.
After spending a night at Marist Brothers High School last night, the torch relay team visited Suva Grammar School this morning.
Torch Relay Assistant Onisimo Rokotuinasau said the torch will visit Cathedral Secondary School, John Wesley College, Latter Day Saints, Rishikul Santan College, Nasinu Secondary School today before making their way back to the Coca Cola factory in Kinoya.
The Coca Cola Games will be held on the 24th and the 25th of this month.
