Powerade Super Deans Championship Tournament Director Biu Colati has cleared the air on the Deans semifinals format this weekend which will see Under 18 defending champion Ratu Kadavulevu School taking on Ratu Navula College while Cuvu College will face Marist Brothers High School.
Colati explained that the format is not based on the order of the games last Saturday.
He says that the order of the games was done in a way to suit the supporters of schools as they want to make sure that if a particular school’s team is playing on any ground, there should not be any other game for that school at the same time.
This is to encourage supporters to focus on one team or one grade at a time, compared to the past.
Colati says that they are still following the format which sees that the winner of quarterfinal one taking on the winner of quarterfinal four while winner of quarterfinal two will take on the winner of quarterfinal three and in this case its Ratu Navula vs RKS while Cuvu will meet Marist.
The semifinals will be held at the ANZ Stadium this Saturday with the times yet to be confirmed.
