Raijieli Daveua will make her debut for the Fijiana 7s team at the Rio Olympics.
The 24-year-old who plays rover and wing says she was emotional when Coach Chris Cracknell told her that she has made the team.
Daveua has only been part of the Fijiana training squad after the Women’s Series.
Daveua came through from the Striders 7s club and is also a former rep for the Fiji Netball team.
The Fiji women’s 7s team is currently in Chile for a week long training session before heading to the Rio Olympics.
The Fijiana will play USA at 4am on August 7th in their first women’s 7s Olympics pool match.
They will then take on Australia at 9.30am on the same day.
Their last pool match is against Colombia at 4am on August 8th.
