The Crusaders will look at a possible name change in the wake of the Christchurch mosque attacks.
Crusaders Chief Executive Colin Mansbridge in a statement said his organisation understood the concerns raised and that the franchise's name will be reviewed.
The nine‑time Super Rugby champions have had the name since the inaugural 1996 Super 12 season but it's come under question in the wake of the attack on the Muslim community which has left 50 dead and many more traumatised.
The Crusaders continue to lead the overall Super Rugby Standings with 19 points, Rebels are in second place with 13 points and in third place are the Stormers also with 13 points and the Hurricanes are in fourth place with 15 points while the Bulls are currently in 5th place with 13 points.
On Friday the Blues will take on the Highlanders at 6.35pm.
On Saturday, the Hurricanes will face the Stormers at 6.35pm, the Waratahs take on the Crusaders at 8.45pm while the Sunwolves will meet the Lions at 10.55pm.
On Sunday the Bulls will face the Chiefs at 1.05am, the Sharks will take on the Rebels at 3.15am and the Reds will meet the Brumbies at 5.05pm.
