Nemani Nadolo celebrated his return from suspension with a crucial try and also kept the Blues scrambling with his rampaging runs down the left wing.
Flyhalf Richie Mo'unga contributed considerably to the victory with 16 points from the boot.
The Crusaders return to Super Rugby after the June Internationals on July 1 with a historic match against the Chiefs in Fiji which could decide who finishes the season in first place.
Meanwhile, the Brumbies thrashed the Sunwolves 66‑5 while Stormers beat the Cheetahs 31‑24 and Lions thrashed the Bulls 56‑20.
The Rebels clash with the Force at 6.05 tonight.
