Super Rugby teams the Crusaders and Highlanders are set to test themselves against European opposition when they take on a French Barbarians side mid‑year.
The games will form part of the French national team's June tour of New Zealand in which they play three Tests against the All Blacks on consecutive weekends.
The Barbarians two-midweek matches against the Crusaders and the Highlanders take place on June 15th in Christchurch and June 22nd in Invercargill.
These are the nights before the second and third international Tests between the All Blacks and France.
Meanwhile in the Super Rugby this weekend, the Crusaders will play the Brumbies at 9.45pm Saturday while the Highlanders will face the Bulls at 3.15am Sunday.
