Ryan Crotty is looking strong to make a comeback into the All Blacks squad soon.
The Crusaders center scored a try against the Jaguares last week and his all‑round game means he is the most important midfielder in New Zealand.
He's a fantastic defender, runs great lines and always makes the Number 10 into a better player if he plays at No 12.
With Sonny Bill Williams injured, Crotty would be the option for their June test against France.
The Hurricanes will meet the Chiefs at 7.35pm Friday.
In other matches, on Saturday, the Sunwolves meet the Blues at 3.05pm, the Rebels face the Jaguares at 5.15pm, the Highlanders take on the Brumbies at 7.35pm, the Waratahs meet the Reds at 9.45pm.
On Sunday, the Sharks take on the Bulls at 3.15am.
