Quade Cooper will not be considered for selection for the final two rounds of the 2015‑2016 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series or the Rio 2016 Olympics following an official announcement from the Australian sevens programme.
Coach Andy Friend says they did not have enough time to work with Cooper over the past five months.
Cooper featured in the Las Vegas and Vancouver 7s earlier this season.
Australia currently sit fourth in the series standings and is pooled with Brazil, England and South Africa in Paris.
Meanwhile, Fiji is pooled with Scotland, Wales and Samoa.
They will take on Scotland in the first pool match of the Paris 7s at 5.44am next Saturday.
We take on Wales at 9.14pm next Saturday and our last pool match is against Samoa at 12.47am next Sunday.
The Paris 7s Cup quarters will start at 9.13pm Sunday, the Cup semis will start at 1.03am Monday while the Cup Final will kick off at 4.15am Monday.
