Fiji Airways Drua wing Apete Daveta will match up against Waratahs wing Taqele Naiyaravoro of the Greater Sydney Rams in Australia’s National Rugby Championship this weekend.
Daveta has been outstanding this season with strong carries and line breaks.
Despite being starved off possession against the Vikings last week, Daveta still managed to have some clean breaks.
Naiyaravoro on the other hand is looking forward to meeting his fellow countrymen.
The former rugby league player is leading the competition’s clean breaks numbers with 14, using his power and pace to avoid defenders.
Naiyaravoro scored a try last week but it was not enough to help the Rams as they lost to Melbourne Rising 41-31.
Meanwhile some of the Waratahs players that are expected to be named in the Rams team this week includes Josh Holmes, David Hickey, Hugh Roach and captain Jed Holloway.
The Greater Sydney Rams will take on the Drua at 4pm Saturday.
