The Chiefs remain winless after the fifth round of Super Rugby after a 23-23 draw with the Hurricanes last night.
Both sides scored two converted tries and three penalties in a New Zealand derby overshadowed by the mosque attacks in Christchurch in which at least 49 people died.
Players from both sides formed a circle in the centre of the pitch and linked arms as they bowed heads and observed a minute's silence for the victims.

Anton Lienert‑Brown and Damian McKenzie each scored a try for the Chiefs while Matt Proctor and Wes Goosen scored for the Hurricanes.
Bauden Barrett converted two penalties for the Hurricanes while brother, Jordie Barrett, converted a penalty for the Hurricanes as Damien Mackenzie converted three penalties for the Chiefs.
The Chiefs led 20‑13 at half time and Damian McKenzie missed a 67th minute penalty that could have sealed the win.
The result means that the Hurricanes stay second in the New Zealand conference while the Chiefs stay at the bottom.
In other games, Brumbies defeated Waratahs 19-13 last night while Stormers thrashed Jaguares 35-8 this morning.
Meanwhile, Sunwolves will take on Reds at 4.15pm and the Highlanders will face the Crusaders at 6.35pm this evening while the Lions will take on the Rebels at 1.05am tomorrow morning.
