This weekend’s Central Coast 7s is expected to have a lot of gold on show with players from the winning Australian women's and Fiji men's Olympic teams set to take part.
The opening round of the World Sevens Series in Dubai is a little more than a month away so the Central Coast tournament provides the perfect opportunity for some fine tuning, as players look to impress their national selectors.
Pool A has the Australian National 7s team, Ratu Filise, Tanoa Old Boys from Tonga and West Harbor.
Pool B has Police, Uluinakau, Australian 7s Development and the LM National Indigenous.
Daveta is pooled with last year’s runners up Tabadamu, NSW 7s and Australian University in Pool C.
Meanwhile, Hideaway Hurricanes and Newtown Rugby are the two Fijian teams in Pool D alongside ACT Brumbies and Sydney University.
Ratu Filise will take on the Australian 7s team in the opening match at 1pm tomorrow.
The final will be held on Sunday.
