Two Fiji born players playing in New Zealand have been selected to wear the silver fern for the New Zealand Heartland rugby team's tour to Fiji next month.
Former Ratu Navula College student Nete Caucau and former Queen Victoria School student Maleli Sau have been picked for this tour as they were part of the Mid Canterbury rugby team.
The New Zealand Heartland side will play three matches, with their annual fixture against New Zealand Marist, before travelling to Fiji to play Nadi and Nadroga.
Rugby Union President Tiko Matawalu had said this will provide a good exposer for the Nadroga players.
Matawalu was disappointed with the level of local rugby as there was no strong competition from other big teams during the Skipper and Farebrother challenge.
