Melbourne Storm captain Cameron Smith will surpass Darren Lockyer’s record of 355 matches played when he runs out onto the field tomorrow against the Parramatta Eels.
Smith be the first player to crack 400 games in the NRL and he could do it all for a single club.
Smith says he has never felt better and with only one more year to run on his current contract with Storm, he has hinted that another deal is not off the cards.
The NRL will present a special medal to honour Cameron Smith, when he breaks the all‑time record for NRL matches.
The Roosters will take on the Broncos at 9.55 tonight while Melbourne Storm will face the Eels at 6.10pm tomorrow in the qualifying finals.
Teams that win in the qualifying finals get a direct place in the semi-finals.
In the elimination finals, the Sea Eagles will meet the Panthers at 9.40pm tomorrow while Cowboys will face the Sharks at 6.10pm Sunday.
