England coach Stuart Lancaster has picked his four best centres and is highly likely to start Bath star and former NRL hit-man Sam Burgess be in the first line up in their Rugby World Cup opener against the Vodafone Flying Fijians.

Lancaster says that after watching Burgess on his debut against France, he knew that he had to be in the squad and would be the best person to draw the attention of the Islanders who will be a big threat in Pool A.

Lancaster adds that in the past they have been mystified as to the make‑up of England’s best midfield, and the fact that there have been so many questions and so many changes in that area is because there has been no clear leader and presence in it.

This means that the door will be always open for a player such as Burgess, providing a leadership during the game.

Fiji will play England at 7am on the 19th of this month.
