The Brisbane Broncos will fight the charge against Sam Thaiday out of last week’s match against the Melbourne Storm.
Thaiday was charged for grabbing the thumb of Kiwi international prop Jessie Bromwich.
However the Broncos will contest the charge with the risk of a $2100 fine if Thaiday is found guilty.
Thaiday has officially pleaded not guilty to the NRL.
The Broncos face the Raiders at 9.05pm Friday.
