The Rugby World Cup is still almost six months away but British media are already putting heat on All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw, labelling him the "King of Thieves" and pleading for strong refereeing against the masterful flanker.
Former England and British and Irish Lions first‑five, Simon Barnes, a rugby writer with the Times of London, has put the spotlight on McCaw's latest Super Rugby efforts with the Crusaders and pointed to the dangers ahead for opponents at the global tournament hosted by England in September.
Barnes said there does seem to be one rule for McCaw and one for the rest of the world and it is no great surprise that the legendary All Black has much in his favour.
The Crusaders meet the Sharks at 2am Sunday.
