Former Hurricanes captain Brad Shields is in doubt for England’s end‑of‑year Test against the All Blacks after breaking his cheekbone in his debut match for English club Wasps.
The injury could see Shields sidelined for up to two months, jeopardising his opportunity to play against some old teammates when the All Blacks face England in November.
Shield's made his test debut for England against South Africa in June.
The loose forward will see a specialist this week to see if he requires surgery.
Meanwhile the All Blacks will now take on the Springboks at 7.35pm this Saturday while the Wallabies will take on Argentina at 10pm Saturday.
