The Hurricanes head coach, Chris Boyd has made just three changes to their starting XV for their New Zealand Super Rugby derby with the Chiefs in Hamilton tomorrow night.
Prop Jeff Toomaga‑Allen is returning from the bench along with lock Michael Fatialofa while the competition's leading try scorer Ben Lam also returns.
Lam is the only change to a backline which produced six tries against the Blues last week, including a franchise record equalling four from inside centre Ngani Laumape who will again form a midfield combination with Wes Goosen.
The Chiefs will need a bonus point win, and margin of 23 plus, against the Hurricanes to earn quarterfinal hosting rights.
Barring any upsets, the Hurricanes and Chiefs are set to meet two weeks in a row. But it's only the second game that counts, when the Hurricanes appear set to host the Chiefs in a Super Rugby quarterfinal.
The Chiefs remain hopeful of securing a home Super Rugby quarterfinal.
The simple thing for the Hurricanes will be to try and win, and win well as they did in beating the Blues 42 24 last Saturday.
The Chiefs will play the Hurricanes at 7.35pm tomorrow.
In other matches tomorrow, the Reds will take on the Sunwolves at 9.45pm.
