New Blues head coach Leon MacDonald is relishing the prospect of taking on his former club, the Crusaders, in their derby at Eden Park on Saturday.
MacDonald enters new territory in his career in taking over an under‑performing Super Rugby side and expects a tough first outing in the 2019 season.
He was happy with the pre‑season work the side had put in and wanted to see that reflected in the effort on the field tonight.
Meanwhile Fiji born, Salesi Rayasi and Kaliopasi Uluilakepa featured for the Hurricanes Hunters side that have begun their representative programme on high note defeating the Blues Development side 33-24 earlier this afternoon.
