Vodafone Fiji 7's coach Ben Ryan will be approaching a number of athletes who were outstanding in last weeks Coca Cola Games to assemble a national side for the Commonwealth Youth Games in September.
Fiji 7's manager Ropate Kauvesi said they will be conducting a number of sevens tournaments for the schools.
He added that Ryan will be visiting some athletes who featured in the 100, 200 and 400 metres along with those who participated in high jump and long jump.
The Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee has confirmed some of the officials that will be taking the 47 athletes to the Commonwealth Youth Games in September.
Ropate Kauvesi will be the section manager for the Fiji Under 18 Sevens team with Ben Ryan as the coach.
Iliesa Tanivula will be coaching the Womens Sevens team, Robert Elder will be looking after the Archery team, Sharon Pickering has been selected for swimming, Josefa Vueti to take the Weight Lifting team, Ravi Singh for Squash, Krishneel Kumar for Tennis while Rafaele Tunaulu and Makelesi Batimala will be taking the athletics team.
The Commonwealth Youth Games will be held from the 5th to the 11th September in Samoa.
