Young budding stars should just believe in themselves and work hard so that one day, they may wear the Fiji 7s jersey.
Those are the words of Fiji 7s player, Samisoni Viriviri while speaking to Fijivillage regarding his selection into the Rio Olympic 7s team.
Viriviri says he didn't expect to be named in the 7s team however nonetheless he couldn't be happier.
He says that a lot of sacrifices were made and along with determination and hard work has resulted in him being a renowned world 7s player.
Viriviri says he couldn't be where he is right now if it wasn't for his friends and family supporting him along the way.
When asked by Fijivillage on what was his personal goal he hoped to achieve in the Rio Olympics, Viriviri says he just hopes to do his best and hopefully win the gold medal in the process.
Meanwhile the team will have training sessions on Monday and will depart for their final camp in Chile on Tuesday before heading to Rio.
Fiji will take on Brazil in their first Rio Olympics pool game at 4.30am on August 10th, they will then face Argentina at 9.30am before taking on USA at 4.30am on August 11th.
