The Vodafone Fiji Bati’s strength is in their backline.
The backs led by captain Kevin Naiqama at fullback has some of the best-striking power in the NRL including Storm winger Suliasi Vunivalu, Bulldogs top try scorers Marcelo Montoya, Titans fullback Jarryd Hayne, Sea Eagles duo Apisai Koroisau and Akuila Uate and the emerging youngster Taane Milne.
The Bati has been building from game one and their only tough test so far was against Italy who managed to keep the Bati on their hands in the first half.
Bati captain Kevin Naiqama says they have developed a strong bond between them and it is a different feeling to be playing for Fiji.
Naiqama also commended the efforts of the young forwards in the team which include Viliame Kikau, Tui Kamikamica, Braden Williame and Junior Roqica.
Veteran forward Ashton Sims continues to lead the forwards with his experience as they get ready for New Zealand in the quarter-final this weekend.
The Vodafone Fiji Bati will take on New Zealand at 7.30pm Saturday.
