New Net Yasawa playmaker Nacanieli Batina will be aiming to prove himself at this weekend’s Fiji Bitter Marist 7s.
Batina has been knocking on the national selectors door for a few years now and hopes this weekend will be good.
Earlier this year, Batina was named in the Coral Coast 7s Dream Team.
He led the New Net Yasawa 7s team to the Marist 7s final last year.
Yasawa is pooled with Newtown Rugby, Vatulawa Young Boys and Navy in Pool 13.
A total of 120 games will be played in the two day tournament which includes the Main Cup competition, Women’s Fiji Tribe competition and the Fiji Bitter Fiji Gold Classics for the Oldies.
The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will start at 8am tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium with defending champion Tabadamu Blue taking on Trail Blazers in the opening match.
Meanwhile the Hong Kong 7s will be held from the 7th to the 9th of next month.
