The Vodafone Fiji Bati team has left the country for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The Bati are in Townsville, Australia preparing for their opening World Cup matches against United States and Wales.
Fiji Bati Assistant Coach Petero Civoniceva says he is excited to see what the new players will bring on their first World Cup encounter.
He adds that preparations against Australia and Papua New Guinea have been helpful in gelling the boys.
The Bati will take on the United States next Saturday and will then play their second pool match against Wales on November 5th.
They will then travel to Canberra to meet Italy on November 10th.
Barring any upsets, the Bati are likely to play either Tonga, Samoa or New Zealand in the Cup quarter finals.
The Fiji Bati last reached the semifinals of the 2008 and 2013 Rugby League World Cup.
