Hurricanes star Beauden Barrett will captain their side that has made 10 changes ahead of their Super Rugby clash against the Stormers tomorrow.
The Hurricanes are set to rest three All Blacks players ‑ TJ Perenara, Dane Coles and Ngani Laumape.
Hurricanes coach John Plumtree said resting Perenara, Coles and Laumape was a decision based on their heavy work load, having played five games already in the 2019 season.
Jordie Barrett will play in the No 12 jersey ‑ his third different starting position this season after wing and fullback.
Asafo Aumua picked up a concussion in the last minute of the Chiefs match, Ricky Riccitelli starts in place of Coles, with James O'Reilly called up from club rugby to sit on the bench.
Richard Judd gets the nod to debut replacing Perenara at halfback.
Toby Smith's ankle injury and Alex Fidow's shoulder injury sees both props out of the 23, as is Chris Eves due to a family bereavement. Fraser Armstrong and Ben May start in the front row, while Xavier Numia and Jeffery Toomaga‑Allen provide bench cover against what should be a physical Stormers pack.
Du'Plessis Kirifi's young body has been given rest, so he is out of the 23. Ardie Savea moves back into the No 7 jersey as Reed Prinsep slots into No 8 and Vaea Fifita moves back to No 6 so Liam Mitchell can resume his starting position at lock.
The Hurricanes will take on the Stormers at 6.35pm tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Blues will take on the Highlanders at 6.35pm tonight.
Tomorrow, the Waratahs take on the Crusaders at 8.45pm while the Sunwolves will meet the Lions at 10.55pm.
On Sunday the Bulls will face the Chiefs at 1.05am, the Sharks will take on the Rebels at 3.15am and the Reds will meet the Brumbies at 5.05pm.
