The Spanish football club Barcelona struck a deal to buy the disgraced Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez from Liverpool, sealing the transfer despite an uproar following the biting incident at the FIFA World Cup
Barcelona pushed ahead to sign the 27‑year‑old reportedly on condition he apologize for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini.
The Spanish club said in a statement they and Liverpool "have reached an agreement for the transfer of Luis Suarez", but declined to say how much they paid.
British media put the sum at around 120 million NZ dollars.
Meanwhile, tomorrow at 8am Brazil will play Netherlands in the 3rd place playoff while Germany meets Argentina in the final at 7am on Monday.
