Pacific Sprint Champion, Banuve Tabakaucoro has finished fourth in the 100 metres heats of the Commonwealth Games.
The former Marist Brothers High School student clocked a time of 10.51 seconds and failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
Gospel High School student, Younis Bese also failed to qualify for the next round as she was placed seventh in the 100 metres heats. She clocked a time of 12.42 seconds.
Meanwhile, Papua New Guineas Toea Wisil qualified for the semi-finals from the heats after coming third and clocking a time of 11.64 seconds.

Sir Gordon Tietjens side has lost 17-12 to South Africa in the final in Glasgow after the score was level at seven all at half-time.
New Zealand will have to settle for silver with South Africa winning gold and Australia the bronze medal.
Looking at the medal tally, Australia is leading with 26 gold, 21 silver and 26 bronze, England is second with 23 gold, 17 silver and 17 bronze while Scotland is third with 11 gold, 8 silver and 11 bronze.
