Banuve Tabakaucoro has qualified for the semi-finals of the 100 metres race at the Pacific Games.
Tabakaucoro ran a time of 10.87 seconds to come first in his heat.
Tony Lemeki who came second in his heat with a time of 10.82 seconds has also qualified. Albert Miller has also qualified for the semi-finals.
Samoa’s Kelvin Masoe qualified with the fastest time of 10.70 seconds.
Jeremy Dodson of Samoa also qualified for the semi-finals with a time of 10.90 seconds.
The semi-final will be held tomorrow.
Petero Veitaqomaki finished first in his 800metres heat with a time of 1.56.62 seconds at the Pacific Games.
Kameli Sauduadua has finished third in his heat and has managed to qualify for the finals. The final will be tomorrow at 5.10pm.
