Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber has released eleven players to feature for their respective clubs at this weekend’s Fiji Bitter Marist 7s.
Baber wants players like Jasa Veremalua to have more game time before they go through the last week for preparations to the Hong Kong 7s.
The players that have been released to play this weekend include Veremalua, Alivereti Veitokani, Nemani Nagusa, Setareki Bituniyata, Josua Vici, Paula Dranisinukula, Pio Tuwai, Lemeki Tulele, Nacanieli Labalaba and Sevuloni Mocenacagi.
64 teams will compete in the main men’s competition.
The Fiji 7s team will be assembling again next week to go through their last week of preparations to the Hong Kong 7s.
The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will kick off at 8am tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium with defending champion Tabadamu Blue taking on Trail Blazers in the opening match.
Meanwhile the Hong Kong 7s will be held from the 7th to the 9th of next month.
