Baber pleased with performance of new players in the squad

Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team coach Gareth Baber is pleased with the performance of the new players that he has selected in the team.

As Fiji gets ready to defend their Oceania 7s title this weekend, Baber says these new players are teachable and are showing good fitness scores.

Baber adds that he picked Beniamino Vota from a village tournament.

Some of the new players that Baber has selected are Beniamino Vota, Napolioni Ratu, Ilikena Vudu-olo and Batinisavu Uluiyata.

Last year Fiji beat New Zealand 26-0 in the final.

The 2018 Oceania 7s starts tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium.

Fiji will take on Solomon Islands at 4.57pm tomorrow and they will then take on PNG at 8.06pm tomorrow.
