With a number of talented halfbacks that have joined the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team Coach, Gareth Baber says that he is finding it hard to select a player for the halfback position ahead of this weekend’s London’s 7s.
Speaking from London, Baber says that Jerry Tuwai, Livai Ikanikoda, Napolioni Ratu and key playmaker Waisea Nacuqu are all in good form to contest the starting position.
Fiji will meet Kenya in their first pool match of the London 7s at 9.36pm tomorrow, they will take on France at 12.42am Sunday and will play their last pool match against Samoa at 3.48am Sunday.
The Cup quarterfinals will start at 9.58pm Sunday, Cup semifinals will start at 1.48am Monday and the Cup final will be played at 4.57am Monday.
Barring any upsets, the Fiji is likely to meet England or Scotland in the quarter final, they are likely to take on USA or Argentina in the semifinal, or New Zealand or South Africa in the final.
